- Article 32
The article bans anyone from driving any vehicle before obtaining the necessary driving license in accordance with the Traffic Law and its Regulations.
يحظر على أي شخص قيادة أي مركبة قبل الحصول على رخصة القيادة اللازمة وفقا لأحكام هذا النظام ولائحته.
- Article 33
The article requires the driver to carry a valid driving license when driving a vehicle, lets a security officer ask to see it, and bars him from retaining it.
يجب على السائق أن يحمل رخصة قيادة سارية المفعول عند قيادته للمركبة، ولرجل الأمن حق طلب إبرازها للاطلاع عليها، وليس له حجزها.
- Article 34
The article bars the holder of a license to drive military vehicles from driving civilian vehicles until he obtains a driving license from the competent department.
لا يجوز لحامل رخصة قيادة المركبات العسكرية قيادة المركبات المدنية إلا بعد الحصول على رخصة قيادة من الإدارة المختصة .
- Article 35
The article divides driving licenses into four types: private, public, public works vehicles and motorcycles, and refers the setting of their categories and specifications to the Regulations.
تنقسم رخص القيادة إلى: 1 - رخصة قيادة خاصة . 2 - رخصة قيادة عامة . 3 - رخصة قيادة مركبات أشغال عامة . 4 - رخصة قيادة دراجة آلية . وتحدد اللائحة فئات هذه الرخص ومواصفاتها.
- Article 37
The article exempts the holder of a foreign or international driving license, recognized by the competent department in the Kingdom and valid, from the driving test condition in paragraph (7) of Article 36.
يعفى من شرط الاختبار الوارد في الفقرة (7) من المادة (السادسة والثلاثين) من هذا النظام، من يحمل رخصة قيادة أجنبية أو دولية معترف بها من الإدارة المختصة في المملكة وتكون سارية المفعول.
- Article 39
The article allows, as an exception to paragraph (1) of Article 36 and under controls set by the Regulations, a temporary license of no more than one year for those who have reached age 17.
استثناء من الفقرة (1) من المادة (السادسة والثلاثين) من هذا النظام، يجوز - وفق ضوابط تحددها اللائحة - منح ترخيص مؤقت لا تزيد مدته على سنة لمن أتم سن السابعة عشرة من العمر.
- Article 40
The article provides that the conditions for obtaining a driving license by members of diplomatic and consular missions and regional and international bodies accredited in the Kingdom are prepared by agreement between the Ministers of Interior and Foreign Affairs.
تعد بالاتفاق بين وزير الداخلية ووزير الخارجية الشروط اللازمة للحصول على رخصة القيادة لأعضاء البعثات الدبلوماسية، والقنصلية، والهيئات الإقليمية، والدولية ، المعتمدين في المملكة.
- Article 42
The article sets the period of use of a recognized international or foreign driving license at one year from the date its holder enters the Kingdom or until its validity ends, whichever is earlier.
تحدد مدة استخدام رخصة القيادة الدولية والأجنبية المعترف بها بسنة واحدة من تاريخ دخول حاملها إلى المملكة أو انتهاء فترة صلاحيتها، أيهما أقرب.
- Article 43
The article gives a person with special needs the right to obtain a driving license after submitting an approved medical report proving his ability to drive, under controls set by the Regulations.
يحق لذي الاحتياجات الخاصة الحصول على رخصة قيادة بعد تقديم تقرير طبي معتمد يثبت قدرته على القيادة. وتحدد اللائحة الضوابط اللازمة لذلك.
- Article 44
The article provides that a driving license is renewed after paying the prescribed fees and any outstanding fines, and leaves the renewal conditions to the Implementing Regulations.
تجدد رخصة القيادة بعد دفع الرسوم المقررة، والغرامات المترتبة إن وجدت. وتحدد اللائحة شروط ذلك.
- Article 45
The article allows a replacement to be issued for a lost or damaged driving license after paying the prescribed fees and any outstanding fines, and leaves the procedures to the Implementing Regulations.
يتم إصدار بدل لما يفقد أو يتلف من رخص القيادة بعد دفع الرسوم المقررة، والغرامات المترتبة إن وجدت. وتحدد اللائحة الإجراءات اللازمة لذلك.
- Article 46
The article prohibits holding a driving license with others and also prohibits pledging it or taking it as a pledge, so a license may not be used as security for any obligation.
يحظر حجز رخصة القيادة لدى الغير، أو رهنها، أو ارتهانها.
- Article 48
The article allows the competent department to cancel a driving license or not renew it if its holder is proven to lack legal capacity or medical fitness to drive the vehicles they are licensed to drive.
للإدارة المختصة إلغاء رخصة القيادة ، أو عدم تجديدها؛ إذا ثبت أن حاملها فاقد الأهلية أو اللياقة الطبية لقيادة المركبات المرخص له بقيادتها .
- Article 70
The article punishes anyone who holds a vehicle registration or driving license with others, or pledges it or takes it as a pledge, with a fine of not less than SAR 1,000 and not more than SAR 2,000.
مع مراعاة ما ورد في المادتين (الثانية عشرة) و(السادسة والأربعين) من هذا النظام، يعاقب كل من حجز رخصة سير المركبة أو رخصة القيادة لدى الغير، أو رهنها، أو ارتهنها، بغرامة مالية لا تقل عن (ألف) ريال ولا تزيد على (ألفي) ريال
- Article 76
The article sets a number of points for each violation according to its seriousness, records them in the violator's record, and withdraws the driving license when the maximum permitted points are exceeded.
يحدد لكل مخالفة منصوص عليها في هذا النظام عدد معين من النقاط - بحسب خطورة المخالفة على السلامة العامة - وتسجل هذه النقاط في سجل المخالف، وتسحب رخصة القيادة عند تجاوز الحد الأعلى المسموح به من النقاط. وتحدد اللائحة القواعد والإجراءات اللازمة لذلك، ومدد سحب الرخصة.
