General Provisions on University Staff and Councils in the Saudi Law of Universities
أحكام عامة لموظفي ومجالس الجامعات — نظام الجامعات
University staff and faculty being governed by the Labor Law; Arabic as the language of instruction, with teaching in other languages permitted; non-members attending councils without a vote; barring a member from attending matters concerning him or his relatives to the second degree; and the councils' responsibility for implementation.

- Article 52
The connection of all university employees, including faculty members, administrative staff and technicians, with the university is under the Labor Law.
يكون ارتباط جميع موظفي الجامعة -بمن فيهم أعضاء هيئة التدريس، والإداريون والفنيون- بالجامعة؛ وفقًا لنظام العمل.
- Article 53
Non-members may attend meetings of any council under the Law at the request of the council chairman, or of a member with the chairman's approval, to provide information and clarifications, with voting reserved to council members.
يجوز حضور اجتماعات أي من المجالس المنصوص عليها في النظام بناء على طلب رئيس المجلس أو أحد الأعضاء بعد موافقة رئيس المجلس، ليفيدهم بما لديه من معلومات وإيضاحات، على أن يكون حق التصويت خاصا بأعضاء المجلس فقط.
- Article 54
The language of instruction at the university is Arabic, and teaching in other languages is permitted, where necessary and by decision of the University Council.
لغة التعليم في الجامعة هي اللغة العربية، ويجوز -عند الاقتضاء وبقرار من مجلس الجامعة- التدريس بلغات أخرى.
- Article 55
A member of any council under the Law may not attend the council's discussion of matters relating to himself or to those related to him up to the second degree.
لا يجوز لعضو أي من المجالس المنصوص عليها في النظام حضور مناقشة المجلس في الموضوعات المتعلقة به، أو بمن لهم به قرابة إلى الدرجة الثانية.
- Article 56
All the councils provided for in the Law are responsible for implementing it, and the Universities Affairs Council is responsible for the soundness of implementation.
تكون جميع المجالس المنصوص عليها في النظام مسؤولة عن تنفيذه، ويكون مجلس شؤون الجامعات مسؤولاً عن سلامة التنفيذ.
