The Authority sets technical specifications and standards for telecommunications and IT equipment in coordination with the Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization; a license or registration is required to possess or use certain devices; and it is a violation to possess, sell, manufacture or trade non-compliant devices or possess a device without a license.
