The provider must protect the confidentiality of user information and documents and prevent unlawful access; disclose it only with the user's consent; notify the Authority and user at once of a breach; and keep it for the period the Authority sets. Calls and information sent over public networks are confidential and may not be viewed, listened to or recorded except as the law allows.

The article obliges a service provider to protect the confidentiality of user information and documents, bars disclosing them without consent, requires immediate notice to the Authority and the user on a breach, and requires keeping them for the period the Authority sets.

The article provides for the confidentiality of telephone calls and of information sent or received over public communications networks, and bars viewing, listening to or recording them except in cases the laws specify.
تعد سرّيةً المكالمات الهاتفية والمعلومات التي ترسَل أو تُستقبَل عن طريق شبكات الاتصالات العامة، ولا يجوز الاطلاع عليها ولا الاستماع إليها ولا تسجيلها؛ إلا في الحالات التي تبينها الأنظمة.
