Patient Confidentiality, Records and Reports in the Saudi Fertility Units Law

Absolute confidentiality of patient information, which may be accessed only with the approval of the Supervisory Committee or the judicial authorities; documenting treatment cycles and their results and keeping them for at least ten years; submitting an annual statistical report to the Supervisory Committee.

- Article 12
The article requires a fertility unit to keep patient information absolutely confidential and bars anyone from seeing it except where necessary and with the approval of the Supervisory Committee or the judicial authorities.
يجب أن تراعي وحدة الإخصاب والأجنة وعلاج العقم السرية المطلقة بالنسبة إلى المعلومات الخاصة بالمرضى، ويجب ألا تسمح لأحد بالاطلاع عليها إلا في الحالات التي تقتضيها الضرورة، بناء على موافقة لجنة الإشراف أو الجهات القضائية.
- Article 14
The article obliges fertility units to submit an annual report to the Supervisory Committee containing comprehensive statistics and a statement of the cases examined and treated.
تلتزم وحدات الإخصاب والأجنة وعلاج العقم برفع تقرير سنوي إلى لجنة الإشراف ، يتضمن إحصائية شاملة وبيانًا عن الحالات التي فحصت وعولجت.
- Article 27
The article obliges fertility units to document all information and procedures, record treatment cycles, their type and results accurately, clearly and honestly, keep them at least 10 years, and present them to the competent authorities on request.
على وحدات الإخصاب والأجنة وعلاج العقم توثيق جميع المعلومات والبيانات والإجراءات التي تقوم بها، وتسجيل دورات العلاج ونوعيتها ونتائجها بدقة ووضوح وأمانة، وحفظها لمدة عشر سنوات على الأقل، وتقديمها للجهات المختصة عند طلب مراجعتها.
