Article 8 explained in plain English
This article corresponds to Article 2, but concerns the temporary work visa for Hajj and Umrah services, and assigns three matters to the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development:
- Determining the purposes and occupations the visa covers, in coordination with the relevant entities.
- Determining the technical and professional requirements that must be met by the worker, in coordination with the relevant entities.
- Determining the countries from which workers for Hajj and Umrah services are recruited, taking diversity into account.
The third item is the addition specific to this type of visa; it is not enough that the occupation and conditions are met, as the worker must also be from the countries the Ministry determines. The Regulation does not list these countries or occupations.
These requirements have a practical effect, since Article 15 provides that the Kingdom's missions approve visas after verifying that the technical and professional requirements determined under paragraph 2 of this article are met.
