Official text (Arabic)
This article has not been amended since the law was issued.

1- نسخة من عقد العمل الموقع من طرفيه.
2- تأمين طبي للعامل المطلوب له التأشيرة.

Article 7 explained in plain English
This article specifies two documents that the temporary work visa applicant, meaning the establishment, must submit to the Kingdom's missions abroad before the visa is granted:
- A copy of the employment contract signed by both its parties, that is, the establishment and the worker.
- Medical insurance for the worker for whom the visa is requested.
The aim is that the worker enters with his relationship with the establishment documented by a contract, and with his health care covered during his temporary work. The article states no conditions for the content of the contract or the type of insurance; it only requires that they be submitted before the visa is granted. Because the text says "before granting the visa," a missing document may delay the granting of the visa.
This complements Article 6, under which the missions verify the worker's eligibility before the visa is issued. The same requirements recur in Article 9 for the Hajj and Umrah services visa. Anyone who needs an employment contract reviewed may consult a lawyer specializing in recruitment and visa regulations.
Practical example
A company in Khobar obtained a temporary work visa permit for an engineer. Before the visa is granted, the company submits to the Saudi embassy in his country a copy of the employment contract signed by the company and the engineer, and a medical insurance policy covering him.
