Powers of the Oversight and Anti-Corruption Authority in the Saudi Anti-Corruption Authority Law

The Authority reports to the King and is independent and impartial. It has administrative oversight of public bodies, protects integrity, promotes transparency, spreads awareness, proposes laws, follows international agreements and the national strategy for protecting integrity, and requests records and documents from bodies within set periods, keeping confidentiality.

The article links the Authority to the King and gives it legal personality and financial and administrative independence, sets its seat in Riyadh with branches permitted, and provides for its impartiality and no interference in its work.
1- ترتبط الهيئة بالملك، وتتمتع بالشخصية الاعتبارية والاستقلال المالي والإداري. 2- يكون مقر الهيئة الرئيس في مدينة الرياض، ولها أن تنشئ فروعاً أو مكاتب داخل المملكة بحسب الحاجة. 3- تباشر الهيئة عملها بكل حياد ودون تأثير من أي جهة، وليس لأحد التدخل في عملها.

The article allows the Authority to request records, documents and information relating to its powers from the bodies it covers, requires the bodies to provide them within the set periods, and binds the Authority to confidentiality rules.
