Criminal Investigation and Prosecution Unit in the Saudi Anti-Corruption Authority Law

The unit conducts criminal investigation of corruption crimes and brings criminal cases. Its members must meet the same conditions as Public Prosecution members and are appointed and dismissed by royal order. Their work has judicial status and they are independent. The unit's council handles their career matters and its decisions are final.

The article gives the work of members of the Criminal Investigation and Prosecution Unit judicial status and complete independence; they are subject only to Sharia and the laws, no one may interfere in their work, and they may not be assigned other work.
تكون لأعمال أعضاء الوحدة الصفة القضائية، ويتمتعون بالاستقلال التام، ولا يخضعون في أعمالهم إلا لأحكام الشريعة الإسلامية والأنظمة ذات العلاقة، وليس لأحد التدخل في أعمالهم، ولا يجوز تكليفهم بغيرها.

The article makes the job titles of members of the Criminal Investigation and Prosecution Unit those in the Public Prosecution Law, treats them as members of the Public Prosecution, and gives the President and his deputies the powers of the Attorney General and his deputy.
تكون أسماء وظائف أعضاء الوحدة هي الأسماء المنصوص عليها في نظام النيابة العامة، ويعامل أعضاء الوحدة في جميع شؤونهم الوظيفية معاملة أعضاء النيابة العامة، ويكون للرئيس ونوابه ما للنائب العام ووكيله في هذا الشأن، على أن يصدر الرئيس القرارات اللازمة المتعلقة بصلاحيات نوابه.

The article establishes the council of the Criminal Investigation and Prosecution Unit, sets its composition, its jurisdiction over the job affairs of the Unit's members and its quorum, and makes its decisions final and not open to judicial challenge.
1- ينشأ مجلس للوحدة يسمى (مجلس وحدة التحقيق والادعاء الجنائي)، برئاسة الرئيس، وعضوية كل من: أ- رئيس الوحدة (عضواً ونائباً للرئيس). ب- خمسة من أعضاء الوحدة لا تقل مرتبة أي منهم عن رئيس دائرة تحقيق وادعاء (ب)؛ يسمون بأمر ملكي بناءً على ترشيح من الرئيس. وتكون مدة عضويتهم أربع سنوات قابلة للتجديد. 2- يختص مجلس الوحدة بما…
