Article 10 explained in plain English
This article regulates the ending of membership of a specific category of the Association's board members, those referred to in paragraph (g) of Article 9, namely the five members from among the Association's core members. The article does not address the other board members, such as the Minister of Justice, representatives of government bodies and faculty members.
The membership of these five ends by decision of the board in one of two cases:
- Submitting a resignation from membership of the board of directors.
- Absence from 3 consecutive meetings of the board, or 6 separate meetings in a single term, without an excuse the board accepts.
Two points should be noted:
- Membership does not end automatically; a decision of the board must be issued.
- Absence with an excuse the board accepts is not counted, and the count of separate meetings is within a single term, whose length is 3 years under Article 11.
The article is linked to Article 9, which requires of these members regular payment of membership fees for the last 3 years and that no final disciplinary decision has been issued against them.
