The council's chair, deputy, assistant and secretary-general are appointed and released by royal orders. Also formation of the council's General Authority and the annual report the chair submits to the King.

- Article 10Amended (1428 AH)
Article 10 provides that the Shura Council's president, vice president, assistant and secretary general are appointed and relieved by royal orders, with their ranks, rights and duties set by royal order.
يعين رئيس مجلس الشورى ،ونائبه، ومساعده، والأمين العام للمجلس ويعفون بأوامر ملكية، وتحدد مراتبهم وحقوقهم وواجباتهم وكافة شؤونهم بأمر ملكي
- Article 21Amended (1428 AH)
Article 21 provides that the Shura Council has a General Body made up of the Council's president, vice president, assistant and the chairs of its specialized committees.

Article 25 requires the Shura Council's president to submit an annual report to the King on the Council's work, as set out in the Council's Internal Rules.
يرفع رئيس مجلس الشورى تقريرا سنويا إلى الملك عما قام به المجلس من أعمال، وفقا لما تبينه اللائحة الداخلية للمجلس.
