Official text (Arabic)
This article has not been amended since the law was issued.

Article 62 explained in plain English
This is a closing article that regulates the relationship between this Law and the one before it. It contains two provisions:
- Replacement of the previous law: this Law replaces the Weapons and Ammunition Law issued by Royal Decree No. M/8 dated 19/2/1402 AH. The previous law is therefore no longer the reference.
- Repeal of what conflicts: this Law repeals whatever provisions conflict with it, so earlier provisions that contradict it are not applied.
In practice, weapons and ammunition matters are to be referred to this Law and its Regulations, not to the law issued in 1402 AH.
The article does not say what happens to licenses or procedures issued under the previous law, so no ruling on that can be inferred from this text alone.
This article comes after Article 61, which allows the Minister to delegate some of the powers given under the Law to whomever the Minister sees fit. It is followed by Article 63, which sets the start of application of the Law and the Regulations at one hundred and eighty days after publication in the Official Gazette.
