Licensing Technical Inspection Bodies in the Saudi Vehicle Inspection Regulation

The Saudi Authority for Standards, Metrology and Quality licenses inspection bodies by geographic area; requirements of the commercial register, municipal license, civil defense safety license and site requirements; licensing mobile periodic inspection; linking the license to the National Information Center and issuing it to each body separately.

The article gives the Authority the licensing of periodic technical inspection bodies by geographic area and classification, once a commercial registration, acceptance, municipal and civil defense licenses and site requirements are in place.

The article makes the Authority competent to grant licenses to inspection bodies that wish to provide mobile periodic technical inspection services, and leaves its provisions to the Implementing Regulations.
تتولى الهيئة منح التراخيص اللازمة لجهات الفحص الراغبة في تقديم خدمات الفحص الفني الدوري المتحرك، وتحدد اللائحة الأحكام اللازمة لذلك.

The article requires the Authority to link the issuance of the inspection license technically to the National Information Center, and to issue a separate license for each inspection body.
1- على الهيئة اتخاذ ما يلزم من إجراءات في شأن ربط إصدار الترخيص تقنياً بمركز المعلومات الوطني. 2- تصدر الهيئة ترخيص كل جهة فحص على حدة.
