Periodic review of the standard and updating, suspending or withdrawing it; application of the standard is voluntary, and government bodies may make it mandatory with the Authority's approval.

- Article 12
The Authority must review the Saudi standard and related document periodically or at the request of relevant bodies, and the review may end in updating, suspending or withdrawing them.
1- تقوم الهيئة بمراجعة المواصفة السعودية والوثيقة ذات الصلة دوريًّا أو بناءً على طلب أي من الجهات ذات العلاقة. 2- يجوز أن تؤدي المراجعات الواردة في الفقرة (1) من هذه المادة إلى تحديث أو تعليق أو سحب المواصفة المعنية أو الوثيقة ذات الصلة.
- Article 13
Applying the Saudi standard and related document is voluntary; government bodies may make a standard mandatory under their laws with the Authority's approval.
1- يكون -اختياريًّا- تطبيق المواصفة السعودية والوثيقة ذات الصلة. 2- يجوز للجهات الحكومية -وفقاً لأنظمتها وتنظيماتها- أن تجعل تطبيق المواصفة السعودية إلزاميًّا، على أن يكون ذلك بعد الحصول على موافقة الهيئة.
