Article 7 explained in plain English
This article gives the Board of Directors of the General Authority for Real Estate the power to form committees, under the following provisions:
- The kind of committees: permanent or temporary, according to the nature of the task.
- Their members: from among the Board's members or others, so the committee's members need not be Board members.
- Their tasks: whatever tasks the Board entrusts to them.
- The decision forming them: the decision forming each committee must specify its chair, members and jurisdiction.
- Seeking assistance: the committee may seek assistance from whomever it sees fit to carry out the tasks assigned to it.
The practical benefit of this article is to enable the Board to distribute work and refer specialized matters to committees to study them, especially as the Board meets periodically four times a year under Article 6.
Note that Article 6 also permits the Board to invite specialists and advisers it sees fit to attend its meetings without the right to vote, while committees are another tool to which specific tasks are entrusted.
The article does not set the committees' working procedures or their members' remuneration. Note that the permission to form committees "from others" allows benefit to be drawn from expertise from outside the Board.
