Article 63 of the Saudi Enlisted Personnel Service Law

Article 63 explained in plain English
This article is a transitional provision made to address the effect of issuing the Law on the income of some members. The category concerned is members who, when this Law was issued, were receiving technical and specialist allowances that were:
- not provided for in the Law, or
- greater in amount than the allowances stated in it.
The rule is that the difference is made up for them between their income before the Law and their current income, so that their income does not fall because of applying the new Law.
But this difference is not permanent; it continues until it disappears through promotion, or through progression by periodic allowance, or otherwise. As the member's income rises by one of these causes, the difference made up is reduced by the amount of the increase, until his new income reaches the level of his previous income and no difference remains.
