Article 45 of the Saudi Enlisted Personnel Service Law

This article contains two provisions linked to training:

First: educational levels for admission. The educational levels required for admission are set according to the training policy, which has two conditions in the text:

• That it is put in place by the training departments.
• That it is ratified by the Minister.

The article does not itself specify a particular educational level, but leaves that to the approved training policy.

Second: technical increments for graduates. Graduates are granted technical increments according to their classification as provided in the table of technical increments attached to the Law. That is, graduating from training and the resulting classification determine the technical increment the member is entitled to, and its amount is known from the table.

The link between the two provisions is that training begins with admission conditions set by the training policy, and ends with a classification that gives rise to entitlement to a technical increment. This is connected to the definition of the technical member in Article 2 as one who carries out work requiring specialization or technical skill as the Implementing Regulations specify.
