Article 7 explained in plain English
This article sets out the administrative structure of the chamber of commerce, as the Chamber consists of three organs:
- The general assembly: Article 8 provides that it consists of all the Chamber's subscribers, making it the organ that brings together the subscriber base.
- The board of directors: The organ that manages the Chamber. Its chair is defined in Article 1 as "the president of the Chamber", and its members are called "members" in the law.
- The general secretariat: The Chamber's executive organ.
Knowing these organs helps a subscriber understand who does what within the Chamber: the general assembly is all the subscribers, the board of directors includes the members, and the general secretariat is the third organ. The later articles go on to detail the composition and powers of each organ, starting with Article 8, which sets the composition of the general assembly.
