Penalties for Violating the AIDS Law in the Saudi AIDS Prevention Law

A fine of up to SAR 50,000 for violating the articles on care, rights, testing and isolation; a fine of up to SAR 100,000, or imprisonment of up to five years, or both, for violating the rules on care of pregnant women, confidentiality, reporting, infected persons' duties and discrimination; the injured person's right to compensation; and the Saudi Health Council's approval of violation officers.

- Article 22
The article makes approving the persons nominated by the public health bodies to detect violations of the Law the responsibility of the Saudi Health Council.
يعتمد المجلس الصحي السعودي الأشخاص الذين ترشحهم الجهات الصحية العامة لمهمة ضبط مخالفات أحكام النظام.
- Article 23
The article punishes a person who violates Articles 4, 8, 9 and 14 with a fine not exceeding SAR 50,000, without prejudice to any more severe penalty in other regulations or to the injured person's right to compensation.
دون إخلال بأي عقوبة أشد منصوص عليها في أنظمة أخرى، يعاقب كل من يخالف أحكام المواد (الرابعة) و(الثامنة) و(التاسعة) و(الرابعة عشرة) من النظام؛ بغرامة لا تتجاوز خمسين ألف ريال، ولا يخل ذلك بحق المتضرر في المطالبة بالتعويض.
- Article 24
The article punishes a person who violates Articles 6, 16, 17, 18 and 21 with a fine of up to SAR 100,000 or imprisonment of up to 5 years, or both, preserving the injured person's right to compensation.
دون إخلال بأي عقوبة أشد منصوص عليها في أنظمة أخرى، يعاقب كل من يخالف أحكام المواد (السادسة) و(السادسة عشرة) و(السابعة عشرة) و(الثامنة عشرة) و(الحادية والعشرين) من النظام؛ بغرامة لا تتجاوز مائة ألف ريال، أو بالسجن مدة لا تزيد على خمس سنوات، أو بكلتيهما، ولا يخل ذلك بحق المتضرر في المطالبة بالتعويض.
