Article 4 explained in plain English
Item "Fourth" calls for activating the role of the Coordination Council, which was established by Royal Cable No. (1131/MB) dated 11/2/1429 AH.
As the text states, the Council is made up of representatives of:
- the Ministry of Interior (General Affairs, and Civil Affairs).
- the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
- the Ministry of Social Affairs.
- the Ministry of Finance.
- the Presidency of General Intelligence.
- the Charitable Society for the Care of Saudi Families Abroad.
The Council is based at the Ministry of Interior, and its task is to decide cases of Saudi families abroad and look after their affairs, in accordance with the tasks set out for it in the Royal Order referred to. This item does not detail those tasks or how the Council works or meets; for these one refers to the Royal Order itself. What is new in this item is not the creation of the Council, which was established earlier, but the emphasis on activating its role.
The aim is to bring the concerned bodies together in one body that coordinates among them, because the cases of these children pass through more than one body, as appears in "First" and "Second". Someone with a particular case may consult a lawyer who specializes in personal status cases.
