Building Permits and Occupancy Certificates in the Saudi Building Code Law

Compliance with the code is a condition for building, renovation, modification or change-of-use permits; a building may not be occupied without an occupancy certificate according to the code's occupancy classification; and the certificate is a basic condition for full connection of electricity.

- Article 6
This article makes compliance with the Code, once the Law is in force under the gradual application, one of the requirements for obtaining permits for building, restoration, modification or change of use.
يعد الالتزام بالكود - بعد العمل بالنظام وفقاً للتطبيق التدريجي المشار إليه في الفقرة (2) من المادة (الثانية) من النظام - أحد متطلبات الحصول على رخص البناء أو الترميم أو التعديل أو تغيير الاستخدام.

This article bars occupying a building without an occupancy certificate according to the occupancy classification in the Code and under the procedures and periods in the regulations, and makes the certificate an essential condition for the full release of electric current.
