The Ministry of Commerce supervises and oversees trade in precious metals and gemstones, and the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources supervises their manufacture after the 1446 AH amendment; powers of inspection, analysis, hallmarking, setting legal karats, the Kingdom's mark, fees and conditions of practice; issuing regulations.
