Licensing Gold and Jewelry Trade and Manufacture in the Saudi Precious Metals and Gemstones Law
ترخيص تجارة وصناعة الذهب والمجوهرات — نظام المعادن الثمينة والأحجار الكريمة
A license from the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources is required, after the amendment, to practice precious metals and gemstones manufacture (before the 1443 AH amendment it also covered trade, from the Ministry of Commerce); the fee for licenses and services.

The article prohibits manufacturing precious metals and gemstones without a license from the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources, and refers to the regulations the setting of the fees for licenses and services.
1- مع مراعاة ما تقضي به الأنظمة الأخرى، لا تجوز مزاولة صناعة المعادن الثمينة والأحجار الكريمة إلا بعد الحصول على ترخيص بذلك من وزارة الصناعة والثروة المعدنية، وفقاً لما تحدده اللوائح من ضوابط وشروط. 2- تحدد اللوائح المقابل المالي للتراخيص والخدمات المقدمة وفقاً لأحكام هذا النظام.

The article punishes with imprisonment of up to six months and a fine of up to SAR 90,000, or either, anyone who manufactures precious metals, their articles or gemstones without a license.
يعاقب بالسجن مدة لا تزيد على ستة أشهر وبغرامة لا تتجاوز تسعين ألف ريال أو بإحدى هاتين العقوبتين، كل من زاول صناعة المعادن الثمينة ومشغولاتها أو الأحجار الكريمة دون ترخيص.
