Article 19 explained in plain English
After each inspection, the inspector prepares a report on each establishment he visited and submits it to his direct superior to study it and take the necessary action. It must include:
- The administrative details of the visit: the name of the inspector, the date and time of the visit, and the names of those he met.
- Identification of the establishment: its name, address, nature of work, date of establishment, name of its owner, and the name of the manager responsible for it.
- Data on the workers: their number, with their nationalities, gender and ages.
- A summary of the actions: what the inspector did during the inspection to ensure that the establishment is carrying out its obligations under the Labor Law, its regulations and its decisions.
The report is thus an administrative document that the inspector submits to his superior, and the decision on what is needed afterward rests with the superior after studying it. The report differs from the violation report regulated by Article 22, which is drawn up at the workplace and signed by the employer.
