تنتهي مأمورية القبودان عند مبيع السفينة بالمزاد إنما إذا اقتضى الأمر إنما يحق للقبودان المرقوم الادعاء بطلب واستحصال تضمينات الخسائر وأضرار من صاحب السفينة أو كفلائه أو المتعهدين له بذلك.
