Article 25 of the Saudi Accredited Valuers Law

This article regulates the general assembly of the Saudi Authority for Accredited Valuers.

1. Composition: the general assembly consists of all core members who have paid their annual subscriptions. A core member who has not paid their subscription is not part of it. The words “and associate members” were deleted from this paragraph by Royal Decree No. (M/190) dated 22/11/1444 AH, so the assembly is limited to core members.

2. Quorum and meetings:

• Its ordinary or extraordinary meetings are held with the attendance of a majority of its members.
• If the quorum is not met, an invitation is sent for a later meeting within the following 30 days, provided the period between the two dates is not less than 15 days, and the second meeting is valid whatever the number attending.
• Ordinary meetings are held on the invitation of the board of directors at a date set at the beginning of each financial year.
• Extraordinary meetings may be held at the request of one fifth of the members or at the request of the board of directors.

3. Chair and decisions:

• It is chaired by the chair of the Authority's board of directors, or by whomever they delegate if absent.
• Decisions are made by a majority of the votes of those present, and if votes are equal, the side the chair of the meeting voted with prevails.

Relationship to other articles: Article 24 sets the membership categories, including core members who hold a university degree in a specialization the Authority adopts, provided they obtain the fellowship certificate. Article 26 sets the competences of the general assembly, such as adopting the board's annual report, approving the final accounts and electing board members.
