Article 10 of the Saudi Human Rights Commission Statute

This article sets out the role of the Commission's Vice President and the President's assistant.

When the President is present: the Vice President and the assistant help the President, according to the powers the President sets for them. The scope of their work is thus determined by what the President assigns to them, and the article itself does not set it.

When the President is absent: the Vice President takes over the President's work. Note that the article gives this task to the Vice President alone, not to the assistant.

Amendment: this article was amended by Council of Ministers Resolution No. (620) dated 6/9/1444 AH to read as the current text states.

The article does not address the case where both the President and the Vice President are absent, or the length of the absence during which the Vice President acts for the President.
