The Border Guard is responsible for guarding the land borders, territorial waters and sea ports; its personnel may use force, up to the use of weapons, to catch crimes in accordance with the Internal Security Forces Law.

The article makes the Border Guard, among the internal security forces, the body competent to guard the land borders, territorial waters and seaports under rules issued by regulation of the Minister of Interior.
حرس الحدود المختص من بين قوات الأمن الداخلي لحراسة الحدود البرية والمياه الإقليمية والموانئ البحرية وفق قواعد تصدر بها لائحة من وزير الداخلية.

Article 5 permits border personnel to use force, up to the use of weapons, to catch offenses under the law and its regulations, in accordance with Articles 6 and 7 of the Internal Security Forces Law.
لرجال سلاح الحدود في سبيل ضبط أي من الجرائم المنصوص عليها في هذا النظام ولوائحه التنفيذية استعمال القوة إلى حد استعمال السلاح وفقا لما تقضي به المادتان (6 ، 7) من نظام قوات الأمن الداخلي.
