1- تنشأ لجنة وطنية لأمن الطيران المدني تسمى ( اللجنة الأمنية الإشرافية ) تكون مسؤولة عن وضع وتطوير ومتابعة خطة وطنية لحماية أمن المطارات المدنية والطائرات والتجهيزات الملاحية في إقليم المملكة.
2- يصدر مجلس الإدارة قرارًا بتشكيل اللجنة وتحديد صلاحياتها برئاسة رئيس الهيئة - أو من ينيبه - وعضوية ممثلي الجهات الحكومية المختصة.

- إحلال عبارة (اللجنة الوطنية لأمن الطيران المدني) محل عبارة (اللجنة الأمنية الإشرافية للطيران المدني) وذلك بموجب قرار مجلس الوزراء رقم (228) وتاريخ 1442/4/9هـ.
