Paid consultations and payouts

Payouts and the platform commission

How much the commission is, how your balance works, how it is paid to you, and what happens when a client disputes.

The commission

The platform deducts 25% of each paid consultation's price and transfers the rest to you. Example: a 300 SAR session → 75 SAR commission → 225 SAR payout. The amount after deduction appears in your bookings list and each booking's details as “Your payout”.

Your balance

Each listing has a balance under Lawyer dashboard → Payouts and bank account, with a balance history: every entry with its date, amount and the balance after it.

  • When a session ends, its value is added to your balance and the platform commission is taken off on a separate line (nothing for a cancelled or refunded booking).
  • Each bank transfer comes off the balance, with its reference.
  • Money returned to a client after a dispute, and any commission charged to you (see below), also come off the balance.

The client pays the full session price when booking, to the platform's account via Stripe.

How do you receive it?

The platform team transfers your positive balance to you by bank transfer and records the transfer reference.

  1. Enter the account holder's name as it appears at the bank, the bank name and your IBAN (SA followed by 22 digits).
  2. Click «Save account details».

Each transfer sends you an email statement listing the sessions, the commission, any balance deduction, the transfer total and its reference. To ask about a transfer that hasn't arrived, contact us with the transfer reference.

When a client disputes

If a client disputes the payment with their bank, or complains to the platform, your share of that session is held until it's settled and shows as "on hold" on your page. The platform team reviews it and picks one of two outcomes:

  • Client refund: the client gets the full amount back and the session doesn't count for you.
  • Firm at fault: the client gets the full amount back, and the platform's commission on the session (25% of its price) is deducted from your balance.

If the complaint is rejected, your share is paid with the next transfer. You get an email with the decision, the reason and your balance afterwards, and you can reply with your comments within 7 days.

A negative balance

If more is deducted than your balance (for example, a share already transferred to you and then the session's money returned to the client), your balance goes negative and shows in red. You don't pay anything: your next sessions' earnings pay off the negative balance first, and nothing is transferred until it is positive again.
